    Good wooden spoonsUsed them for weeks now and they're solid and don't stain easily. Hopefully they last as long as our last set of 40 years. 5Looong wooden spoonsNice wooden spoons, stir my food properly. These are perfect for deep pot cooking. I use these virtually daily and have had no problems. They even come through the dish washer with out any problems. I love using wooden utensils when cooking, there's something natural about it. 5NOT as pictured!These spoons, far from the picture on the listing, are two things I was specifically AVOIDING: they are raw, untreated wood, and have VERY wide heads. They might be okay for some things, but I might as well have grabbed two equally crappy spoons for a dollar from Walmart. I expected better from an Amazon listing. 2But they work fine! A little splinterier than the other wooden spoon ...I didn't realize just how long 18 inches long is... idk anyone who would need a spoon this long lol. But they work fine! Best money I ever spent!!I bought these not only because I wanted some wooden spoons, but also because I had read a wooden spoon placed across the top of a pot would keep it from boiling over. I tried it and it worked! I was boiling a couple of large pots of chicken parts to use for canning the broth. I placed a spoon over each pot because I always end up boiling them over. I got busy with housework and when I went and checked on them, one of the pots had boiled all the way to the top and was all over the spoon but not one drop on the stove!! Best money I ever spent! 5Great for sauces, pasta, and sauteEveryone needs a wooden spoon for their kitchen. Having two spoons, especially ones that are nice and long like these, is even better. Long handles make it easy to scrape the bottom of large stock pots or stir pans on the back-burners without getting burned by steam. The smooth wood is easy to clean and feels very sturdy compared to older hand-me-down spoons. 5The Perfect Spoons For Stirring Large Stock Pots of FoodThese spoons were exactly what I needed. I cook a lot in stock pots. This is the first time I have had spoons that are tall enough to keep my fingers from getting burned, if I stir a little too hard. Over the years and without success, I have looked in several stores for spoons this long. These fit the bill. I love them and my fingers love them. I had read in some other reviews that some people had to lightly sand them. I did not have to do this. I did wash and dry them. Then, I rubbed them down in olive and canola oil and let them sit overnight. They soaked up most of the oil. I rubbed them down again and let them sit for a couple of days, Then, I washed them and they are just fine. I do highly recommend these spoons. 5Quality Wood-LONG Enough to Stir From Across A Room-A Good ValueMade from quality wood. They don't absorb food, oil or other stuff and that's a plus. Wash them by hand, so they hold over time. Dish washing wooden spoons ruins them-any of them. 18-inches is LONG and I had to cut an inch off these to make them fit in the space I've got. Not a problem, just a thing due to my own kitchen's arrangement.A good product at a reasonable price. They should last a long time. 5Know what size you need before buyingI had a lapse in judgement when I bought these. I didn't think about how large 18" would be, so I was very surprised when they came in. I won't let my mistake detour you from buying these spoons, however. They work great and have yet to show any flaws.If you are working with very large pots and bowls, these may be for you. If you are just using standard cookware, you could probably just go with a 12". 5
