Customer Reviews

My favorite for working on Paintball markers and anything else.I love Bondhus wenches. I have bought many sets and if people at work would stop losing them I would not have to keep buying sets. If you are a paintball player I highly recommend these or any Bondhus wrenches over the ones that come stock with your paintball marker, they are much better quality. Did I say I love Bondhus wrenches?5One of my favorite new tools.I really love these. I wish i could show them off... they are solid as a rock and comes with so many sizes.I also ordered Bondhus 17095 Set of 15 Balldriver L-wrenches with BriteGuard Finish, sizes 1.27-10mm to go along with these and I think these tools will last me decades.5Very Sturdy Quality tools!I bought these to replace some missing Hex wrenches I had in my Harley CVO tool kit. These are actually better quality that the ones I had, so I also replaced the remaining tools I had with them. These are a very durable set of tools.5Made in USAThese are high quality tools that are made in the USA. I already own the metric set and wanted to add this set to my toolbox and am glad I did. They are super easy to clean with the shiny finish and are easy to keep organized with the labeled plastic case that is easy to read from a distance. In case it is not noticed by the picture the wrenches are designed to only have a ball end on the long end and not the short end since most will need the short end for situations requiring higher torque. These are a great addition to my quality tool collection!5Nice finish, but I thought the metric and inch ... Nice finish, but I thought the metric and inch versions had different colors so you can tell them apart. I didn't notice that I purchased both versions with the same BriteGuard (silver) Finish, instead of buying one set in the BriteGuard Finish and the other in the (more expensive) GoldGuard finish. Too much trouble to change things now, so I'll just have to manually mark one set with nail polish or colored tape. Plus, the thin wrenches were already bent (in both sets) and had to be straightened before being used; so, only 4 stars. 4Unmatched quality from Bondhus.Beautiful set of allens. Beware they are a little slippery so if your hand is caked in grease or you re covered in motor oil, you might want to choose a grip set.Other than that, made in USA and I only have to replace these after a whole year of constant use. Every other brand wears out in 1/4 of that time.Bondhus is the best name in Allen keys.5Worth the MoneyAllen wrenches are used so much at my place of employment, pretty much they're in your pocket all the time. I recently used these for a major project and they were fantastic. I had to replace over a hundred 5/32" internal hex flat-head cap screws, all secured with blue Loctite. Over all, the wrenches have proven to be: - Strong. Many of the screws for the project were on there good and the wrench would flex, but it never broke - Machined to a tight tolerance. The hex can be difficult to insert into a worn head, but once in, there's no slop, which means less chance of stripping the screw. Getting it out might require a little wiggling, too, which isn't a bad thing. - Built for leverage. The extra length goes a long way in both loosening and tightening. Not much longer than the set it replaced, but enough to feel a difference. - Tough. Haven't bent or stripped a wrench, nor broken a ball-end offA few more things, the finish hasn't flaked, so I'm assuming they're highly polished, not chromed. A reviewer found them to be slippery compared to black finished ones, I don't find that to be true. Finally, a reviewer said they snapped off the ball ends; I'm not doubting them, but to do so would require very serious torque and if you're going to be using serious torque, then tighten/loosen using the flat end instead of the ball end.I was hesitant to spend the extra money on these, but they're performance on the job has made me thankful that I did.5High QualityI got a set of Sears Craftsman wrenches exactly like these (except with the black finish). The set even has same type of plastic holder. Comparing them side-to-side I find the finish and fit of this Bondhus set to be superior They snap in and out of the plastic holder better and the holder is a highly visible yellow, making it easier to find and provides better contrast for the black lettering. While I agree with another buyer's comment that the smoother surface might slip easier than the black finish, when using them somehow the finish is so crisp and hard I have more confidence they are positioned well and won't slip.5Getting good use I bought this and the metric set, and I am impressed the force I've been able to put on these without anything stripping. The ball ends make life a lot easier, and the fairly long handles get the force to the hex key. What's not to like, a good quality tool set. OK, it's almost a year down the road here, and I've been using the HELL out of them on a Sportster rebuild project. These are my favorite tools, at this point. Definitely tough enough for anyone. Give them ten stars, if I could. 5Good spec's and reasonable price. For a bit I was losing hope in getting properly spec'd tools to use. Some German brands have gone to contractors for some of the line and the results disappointing. Various "Made in USA" companies were undersized and the metal on the soft side. The hex keys were sloppy and combined with the makers of fasteners, I've seen far to much wastage. Circular filing 18-8 socket hex screws becomes $$ and especially those turned stateside that cost more than the ones from some Canada or Korea producers. After every 25-100 fasteners the keys would need to be sharpened so they would not cam out or damage the hex screws. Once the ball end is worn, they are cut off then the long ends used in various other drivers during other stages of parts assembly.Wasn't so sure with Bondhaus because some of their basic keys were also undersized. Took a chance on these and I'm pleased with the quality and spec's. Each sized key is consistent and may vary .001-.0025" from the dead-on spec. Good job. As far as "long handle" I consider these mid-length but still sufficient for initially torquing the fasteners up. (My use for "long handle" is that once the ball and L bend end is cut off, the remaining shank is useful. I'll still sharpen the keys for every 100 or so fasteners so this yields a long wearing tool for the cost.)Finish is clean though not as nicely machined or polished. There are various nicks and dings along the edges indicating that once machined they get dumped into the big bins prior to finish/coatings applied. The ends of the tool have coarse grind marks as well. The keys I've sourced from Japan that are made by Asahi Tools are beautifully finished, not a ding along the shaft can be seen nor are there coarse cut/grind marks at the ends of the tool. Considering these keys from Japan are 3X the cost and getting those stateside is even more $. Tools are meant to be used so the cosmetics are secondary but it is nice to see that much attention to detail.Initial impressions are good and I'm pleased to test these out. :)4Very High Quality "Allen" L-WrenchesI like to have a set of "Allen" a/k/a L-wrenches in my "honey-do" drawer because I frequently need them to tighten shower doors and other kitchen and bath fixtures. These are great tools. The steel is really strong (much better than the generic big-box stores' steel for comparable tools). I like the ball driver feature, and the extra length is really helpful for tightening the shower doors, etc.Excellent Tool.5Great ProductThere's always that one thing - like the towel rack or the light fixture - that needs a tool that is normally not in your kitchen tool box. And it's usually the Allen wrench. And even if you kept the last one you got with that Ikea shelf you put together, it's not gonna fit the little one on the bottom of the towel rack you are trying to put up.This little set is a junk drawer dream.Even the tiniest ones are sturdy and don't bend. Set includes pretty much every size you could need for any home project. The case they are in is handy and secures them quickly and tightly.5
