Customer Reviews

The most durable luggage tag I have ever usedThese things are durable. The plastic cord that comes with the plastic business card cover is very tough. It can withstand pulling force that is encountered when bags get stuck in airport baggage handling operations. Baggage handlers don't care. Because of that fact, I use these to protect my bags and keep the luggage tag affixed to my luggage. (Suitcases, gun cases, coolers). I even use these on backpacks that will never be checked. I use these on my bow case should I absent mindedly leave it at the range.5Check it when you get itThis laminate has always been our favorite - however this last box must have been exposed to heat. We have used several sheets and all have been extremely difficult to take the backing off. This is the first time we have had a problem.2Too thin to peel the plastic from the backing if not using the whole sheet.I bought this same product years ago and the sheets were thicker which allowed me to laminate ID cards, newspaper clippings, etc. Now I still do the same, but I have to waste a whole sheet because the only way to remove the paper backing is to separate it using convenient fold that they provide (but forced to use the whole sheet). I guess making the sheets thinner saved them money and kept the price down, but it my opinion it's wasteful and not very good. I would have paid more if they would have a thicker material.1Not that happy. Does not stay sealed. I'd not buy them again.I didn't have very good luck with these. Perhaps my business card is too thick. Perhaps it's just that these are not great. Mine did not stay sealed. The ends open up. I had to TAPE the ends closed. Not very professional looking. If you are thinking of putting TWO cards in so you can see them from either side, that will not work. Now you are really thick and it's harder for the holder to seal. If the ends open, the card that is not against the sticky side will slide out and you'll lose it.2Be careful of how long it's been on the shelfThe product I received was obviously sitting on the shelf for a very, very long time. The glue was hardened & each time I tried to peel off the paper backing, the backing split & half stayed attached to the laminating (glued) material & the rest was stuck to the part that was to be peeled off. After scrapping the residue off, and then trying to peel away the backing took all my strength. It was like it was baked on and left permanent marks on the film. The product otherwise seems good for it's intended purpose, but I'll have to get a recently manufactured one to make sure.2Only purchase it if you are going to use it all right awayThis product should have an exp date, I purchased it about a year and half and the back sheet does not come off, sticking to the glue part. I stored it with the rest of my office material away from the sun. I called customer service and they just told me to speak to Amazon, so much for the warranty on the back of the box.1Do not buy!Update: just in a couple of days since I wrote this review two more of my 6 fell apart. Looks like the shelf life is just past the return policy so I do not recommend these at all. My tags are just hanging on a shelf drawer, I can't imagine them lasting for more than 5 minutes being used as an actual luggage tag!I've used 6 for labels on storage bins and 3 have fallen apart already. I would recommend getting the tags that have a slip where you can easily change the label.1Most cost-effective, easy to use and flexible luggage tags. These are great economical tags! They're very similar to heat laminated semi-flexible ID cards but are self-laminating (read: self-adhering) so you don't need any special tools or heat to put it together.1) You print out or write out your ID tag on whatever stock paper you want (color, thickness, etc). Even a business card will work fine.2) You place the card between the two plastic sheets, just make sure to position properly before letting the sheets come together. They self-adhere. Press/seal with your fingers.3) Run the flexible lanyard through the slot and knot it like you do with the simple luggage tags you get at the airport baggage counter. You may have to bend the plastic/card to get it to fit between the loop. DO NOT FOLD, just bend and it'll turn out fine.Note that the entire tag is always visible so if you're freaked out about privacy, then this is not the tag for you. However, all those privacy hard tags cost a lot more, and you have a lot less space to fill out your info! My family went on vacation and had to tag 9 items (3 check-in bags, 2 strollers, 2 backpacks, 1 diaper bag and 1 medical equipment cooler) and we would have spent 10x as much if we went with privacy hard tags.5Just what I was looking for I bought some self adhesive laminate sheets many years ago. I have used it for everything from important documents to newspaper comics and articles. I finally ran out and I've been looking for that style of laminate at a good price for over a year. So I ordered these. As I was starting this review I read a review where the product was passed it's use by date. I peeled back a couple of sheets and thankfully the laminate was supple and worked perfectly. Now as long as it stays reasonably clear I will be completely satisfied. 5Great ProductHey folks don't pay extra to have someone laminate your stuff. I just do it myself. Have used this for ages and whensomeone ask me "do you want to pay an extra $1.00 or $2.00 to have that laminated?" I say no. Found it years agoin office supply store, and now I just get it at a better price here. One box lasts us a long time. Use it for making check lists, permits, medication lists just about anything you take in and out of your wallet. But be careful some documents will tell you notto laminate, like #ss cards. Also good for waterproof paper, to some degree at least.5Poster size self-adhesive laminating filmThis was exactly what I need to laminate a large poster (pic 1). The paper backing is pre-sectioned so that you can line up a strip to the edge and then use a straight edge to smooth the poster down while slowly rolling it onto the surface and removing paper backing as you go. I was a bit bummed that applying the laminating to the back of my poster didn't work, but hey this was a test run for 6 more lol. For the future posters, I plan to apply smaller squares of laminating to the back corners for a tape surface rather than covering the entire surface of the back.5
