Customer Reviews

Surprise bonusThe skillet's quality is as good as I expected. The surprise bonus is that even though it is an open skillet, the lid to Calphalon N-S Sauce Pan Black 2.5 Qt 1876967, which I ordered a the same time, fits the skillet perfectly. What a happy coincidence.5A Superb PanI have had and used this pan for over a year now, and I love it. It has a very nice heft - it's not heavy but not too light. I have never had any problems with sticking except on the handle rivets - but that is easily cleaned up with a Scotch-Brite blue non-scratch scrubber. I frequently make scrambled eggs and omelets in it - and it works wonderfully. I also have all-clad stainless, but would never think of making eggs in those pans again.I have seen no signs of scratching or damage. I do hand wash it (you can practically just rinse it out) and I also use silicone tools (although you aren't supposed to have to). I'm pretty demanding, and am delighted with this purchase.5Almost a great pan!I have four of these Cuisinart pans in different sizes. The non-stick works great, and they look great. I don't clean them in the dishwasher, and I also don't heat them up on the high setting. That being said my problem is with the bottom of the pan warping on the bigger pans. I realize they can do this from excessive Heat, but I'm very careful on how hot they get because I'm aware of the problem. I usually use on a glass cooktop and when they Warp they don't sit flush and consequently will cook unevenly. If I had a gas range that wouldn't be a problem. I have banged it pretty flat but it's not perfect. Next time I will be looking for a heavier-duty pan for sure.3THE skillet for those who like to flip food slick, durable, excellent design!I've searched for the world's best skillets for decades, and I've bought a lot of them. I don't want a skillet that I have to maintain carefully, like a cast-iron skillet. Someone always comes along and washes it with soap, thinking they are helping, and then you have to start over. I've got several, and it happens every time. (of course, seasoned cast iron skillets are great)I also am leery of Teflon and other similar products. I know they get most of the bad stuff out of it before the process is complete, but Teflon is so bad to peel off and get in your food. I've probably swallowed a cup full of it over my lifetime. When I saw this anodized skillet, I thought this might be worth giving a try. WOW! Not only is the skillet non-stick and wonderfully so, but it was designed by a real chef. I don't know who, but from the moment I picked it up I could tell. It's well-balanced. The handle will never come loose. The handle is metal, but never gets hot where you hold it. (does get hot next to the skillet, though) This means you can put it in the oven! But there is one more little trick that this skillet knows, and I don't see many people explaining it. It looks like the food would slosh out if you try to flip with this skillet, but in fact the food goes straight up, and a little back toward the center; the perfect behavior for hot food that's being flipped into the air and turned and caught again. Why? It's not evident in pictures or even when looking right at it, but if you feel just below the inside top edge, you will feel a subtle "lip" that is precisely enough to direct the food back toward the center without overdoing it. Be careful, though: this skillet will spoil you. After using this skillet, you may find others a little harder to flip food with. You get used to this, and others don't feel right anymore.I've been using it a couple months, now. Not a scratch on it. Nor is there a crumb of food or stain of oil on it. Oh... also, I use metal spoons in it. Carefully, of course, but the important thing is that metal isn't inevitably going to scrape off the finish. It's very durable. I clean it with a paper towel while it's still warm. Sometimes I'll dampen the towel a little, so that it collects food better, but other than that, I don't add anything to it. Just wipe it out. It comes clean!5Best pan ever!Could not be happier! Cleans up so easy, no staining on bottom, looks like I just took it out of the package after 6 weeks. Will be upgrading all my pots & pans to this model Cuisinart.5Bottom is no longer flat after 1 weekAfter a week of use (and hand wash), the bottom of the pan is no longer flat. I'm very disappointed since I have the 8" version of the pan and it's been awesome for 4 years now. I have a flat stove top so having a large pan that's not flat makes cooking food that requires even cooking hard. I bought this to make pancakes, and of course the pancakes will never be evenly cooked because the bottom is no longer flat. It works... just sucks that the shape changed so quickly after just a week.3Great pan. Superior performance. Possibly the best one I've ever had.Yes, you can really make eggs in it and no scraping needed. It's well made. A bit on the heavy side. That's possibly the only con. But a small one. The rest has been excellent performance. The egg test pushes it way above and beyond all the pans I've used in memory. I've had it for a few months now. Not a scratch. Again, compare to what I've used in the past, this is superior performance. So, here's the bottom line, you'll get a superior pan, and you'll prob grow some wrist muscles too. :) Buy it. I approve highly.5Highly Recommend!! Great pan. It s a little on the heavy side, It s non-stick. Cleans easily, so enjoyable to use. Easy to flip food like a pro with it. Liked it so well, I just purchased a very similar stir-fry pan like it. Which is it as heavy but same coating. Very nice. I couldn t be happier. Replaced an old T-Fall which we had for years and years. These pans are a whole new level of excellence. 5better than calphalon and analon whcih are too heavymy go to cookware. better than calphalon and analon whcih are too heavy. the handle helper isnt right angle its angled up which is an error, so it drops off your sink edge when washing if not careful. please fix that cuisnart and you will have the perect pan. Needs a 12.5 inch lid sold sep. so its really not as cheap as it seems.5BEST NON-STICK POT EVER!!!So I first met this pot while on vacation at a West Gate Resort in Orlando, Florida where I stayed for a week with my family. I usually make breakfast at the resort and have lunch and dinner out. The first time I used this pot I was in love. After using it for almost the entire week I wrote down the name and serial number because I knew my kitchen had to have it. Ordered it the day before I left the resort and received it a day after getting home. It's awesome! Truly non-stick. Cleans like a dream (No need for steel wool or harsh scrubbers which may damage). The handle stays cool to the touch even while cooking. Cooks eggs and meats very well. Absolutely recommend. I bought it in 2 sizes 10 inch and 12 inch. It's been a couple months and I am still very happy with this purchase!5Much better than the cheap ones I've been buying.Have only used it a couple times, but so far, much better than the cheap ones I kept buying. I'm tired of them peeling after only a few months. Time will tell how well it holds up. I am being very careful not to use high heat, cooking spray, dishwasher, and am only using plastic utensils. It's heavier than the cheap ones. Lies flat on the stove even when empty. I preferred this one because of the larger cooking surface as compared to "omelette pans".Update: I LOVE THIS PAN! Still like new. I do take care of it. No high heat, no non-stick sprays (just use a bit of vegetable oil), and hand wash.5WELL DONE Although not yet time-tested, this skillet does make a good impression when you open the package. Its weight assures you of its quality unlike many of the flimsy competitors out there in this category. The glass lid fits well and Cuisinart has done a very good job crafting this pan as they usually do. The non-stick surface performs as you would want it too, tolerates heat and cleans up nicely. I expect this skillet to get a lot of work and continue to perform well for a long time. Sometimes you do just get it right. 5Outstanding skillet, excellent price Pros: Well-balanced, easy to clean, versatile (goes from stovetop to oven), heats evenly, and well-made.Cons: As far as I can tell, there aren't any.And the glass cover from my previous skillet (a Calphalon) fit perfectly, which was a nice bonus. 5
