Customer Reviews

Best wash you will find!Incredible product! We had a very large antique wool oriental carpet that after we washed it with just Woolite brought out the imbedded terrible dog smells. We were unable to remove it until we used Eucalan. The carpet is good as new and it did not even take that much effort. We had washed our oriental carpets for many years. Just lay it on the concrete and wet and apply cleaner and rub in by hand or light brush and rinse. No need to pay $400 to a oriental carpet place. This product is the best and saved us.5Great for travelingI use this on my sweaters, but it s also great for travel. On a recent trip to Italy, a piece of pizza was dropped onto my white linen blouse. Used this directly on the stain, then into tepid water - stain totally gone!5Excellent Product.I use Eucalan for all my sweaters and delicate clothing - and some gentle stain removing, too, It is excellent. Keeps my dry cleaning bill way down. and my clothing in good condition. I use it in the sink for a single item and in the machine for several items - on gentle cycle for a few turns and a good soak then just put it on the last spin cycle. No rinsing needed.5Wow, wow, wow!I've recently become a bit of a merino-wool addict and while my clothes didn't stink or look "dirty," I did find that their elasticity was fading a bit and the colors were darker than when first worn. After reading the reviews on Eucalan and not seeing much else around the internet speaking of this stuff, I figured that at least I would have a bunch of decent animal-shampoo...turns out this stuff is absolutely mindblowing and worth the small investment!I cleaned my kitchen sink out, filled it with lukewarm water, and added just a teaspoon of Eucalan to the water. Stirred it a bit. Added in some merino socks, a merino turtleneck, and my merino beanie. Let them soak for ~10-15 minutes and came back to grey/black water! The Eucalan literally strips the wool of the dirt and grime; I was pretty shocked to see it worked so well!I let the clothing air-dry by laying it on a thick towel overnight, waking up to the softest, cleanest merino clothing!Absolutely crazy! I'm a believer!5So easy and safe and will save you money on your cleaning billsI live this product. Being in a 150 person knitting guild I found out about it years ago it is far better to wash your wool and knitted items with Eucalon than to send them to the cleaners. The cleaners use chemicals. Eucalon leaves a lovely fresh aroma when finished. I knitted 4 blankets for my grandchildren 2 years ago and told them to give them to me at their birthdays so I could wash them each year. You don t even have to worry about getting all the Eucalon out after washing.5Best woolen detergent!I have 4 wool sweaters that I have tried everything, from shampoo to baby shampoo and nothing were able to soften them up until I used Eucalan. This is the best wool wash ever. It made my wool soft to the touch now and I can actually wear them. Eucalan also restore my cashmere fluffiness and make them even softer. This product is worth every penny. If you have a front load washer, you can just rinse the water out using medium to light spin cycle. My wool sweaters came out perfect with minimal to no shrinkage. This will reduce your drying time significantly.5Bought it for wool; used it on my doggies!I haven't used this on wool yet - I bought it for wool soakers - but when I read that I could safely wash my two dogs in it, I had to give it a try since their skin gets SO dry with washing (and I've tried many "natural" shampoos before). I have to say I am very impressed! Not only was the entire washing experience super easy, since essentially you are giving them a Eucalan bubble bath, but they came out so clean. The water was filthy! It's like it lifted off a bunch of old dirt. They were so calm during the process, too - usually bath time is stressful for them, but apparently bubble bath time is not! The smell is so refreshing, too; it's like they had a little doggy spa! Once they were dry, they were super soft, too, and their skin does not appear dry at all. If this is what it does to my dogs, I can't wait to try it on my wool soakers!5Best delicate clothes wash. Love the eucalyptus scent!!Great delicate clothing wash. No rinsing.needed and clothes smell fresh and clean. I ve been using this product for years and this is one of the few places where I can find it. The gallon size is a great deal!! You get a lot for your money!5Eucalan is my favorite!Eucalan is my go-to fiber wash for sweaters and all my knitted garments! I love the lavender scent, which is not overpowering, and the way the sweaters feel upon drying. I do sometimes rinse the sweaters and follow up with a second round of Eucalan, but it s not necessary. I just enjoy the process. I ordered the gallon size because I use it often and the price per ounce is much lower this way. When I give a knitted gift, I like to fill a small bottle with this to give along with it. It makes it easy for recipients to avoid throwing the knitted garment in the washing machine by mistake :-)I do also bring a travel bottle of this for washing quick-dry garments when traveling internationally.5Works for Silk.We love silk bedding and have had a number of silk bedding sets over the years. Detergent is too harsh on silk and removes the sheen. Also be careful to not use stain removers on silk, as they also remove the sheen. We originally purchased Eucalan for cashmere sweaters, which works very well. The cashmere sweaters do not need to be rinsed and they come out fully conditioned. Prior to Eucalan, I used to soak cashmere sweaters in a hair conditioner with room temperature water. Although this conditioned the sweaters, it imparted a slight feel to the cashmere that I noticed. The Eucalan does not leave any feel to the garment which is preferred.5
