    It is part of a sugar and creamer set It's a piece that for some reason is not available from Lenox. I got it to match the creamer Lenox provided that goes with my dishes. It is a nice porcelain set that is premium quality if you like the style. 5Product I had purchased was a knockoff... This wasn t the product I had before. I had broken my butter dish but kept it. When I say this online I thought it was the same item but it wasn t. My original one was made in Portugal and when this arrived it had a sticker on it made in Tialand. It had a hole on the side of the top piece which mine did not have. The top piece was crooked. Also, the plate was bowed a little and not flat like my original one. I paided $32.00 for a knockoff! Was very disappointed. 1Beautiful piece, could use an opening for a spoon Very solid, basic, beautiful piece. For those who love white dishes with simple trims, this is perfect. Holds a good quantity of sugar so you don't have to refil it every 2 days. I would like to see some sort of "indentation" or opening in the design to fit a small spoon. My kid broke the lid and I'm only hesitating about buying it again because of this lacking feature. One could argue this design seals the contents better. 4Great product, horrible packaging The product itself is great. However, the packaging is horrible. I ordered one set of four and one of the bowls was completely shattered when it arrived. I ordered a replacement set and it came in a box with each bowl individually wrapped but nothing else around it, allowing the bowls to move around, causing those bowls to be shattered. 2Search has ended! I've been searching for something like this for years! It's exactly what I wanted, was packed EXTREMELY well and is of great quality. And, it matches my Corel Ware to perfection (bonus). 5when formal and fancy is not practical ... Use these plates I bought this plate to go along with pizza and other dough making. However? When I received it the quality was great and with such a simple design and nice finish I use this tableware daily. I am now in the process yo get the remaining plate sets to make a serving set for 4You might ask whyI have a gold leaf China plate set that i etherized years ago. They can only be hand cleaned and the services set is only used for very special meals. I have found the dansk plate set is durable and looks great even for formal meal preparationIt is more durable and easy to clean 5Lid is hard to lift open (sugar bowl review) I am disappointed. It's bigger than expected, heavy and bulky. Not only that, the lid doesn't work well, the little knob is so flat you simply cannot grab onto it to lift up. You end up having to lift the entire lid from the rims. It's just big and heavy and not very nice to look at, add not that functional. The material and color were fine, product made in Thailand. 2Great Serving Bowl This bowl is great as a family serving bowl or for use by an individual. We usually eat dinner as a family at the table. There I generally put vegetables, bread or desserts in these bowls. The bowl is large enough to serve a family of 6. It is small enough to easily store the left overs in the refrigerator. After that, it can go from the refrigerator to the microwave then back to the table. The shape and size of this bowl are very good for my needs, though some may want a bowl with a little more depth.It is also great as a serving bowl for individuals. On those occasions when we eat in front of the TV, I always make sure to use these bowls. I am generally reading a book at the same time, so for me it helps prevent spills.A chip fell out of the rim of one bowl a week after I received it. The response by Amazon to my claim was immediate and courteous. The replacement bowl arrived within a few days. I could not have asked for better service.A few years ago, I tried to find family serving dishes but could not find anything reasonably priced that met my needs. It must have been a fad at that time for odd shaped, poorly designed dishes. I remember complaining to a couple of store managers about not being able to find round or oval, family-sized serving bowls at a good price in their stores. After extensive searching in local stores and some on the internet, I gave up. This last year, I decided to try again and found a couple of choices at Amazon. I chose this one because I already had one that I purchased several years ago. My only regret is that I did not go for the special promotion where you buy 3 and get 1 free. 5Finish work on Dansk The glazing (finish process on the pottery) is only done on the top of the pottery, inside of bowl, sides of bowl. The bottoms are not glazed, so they turn brown and get spotted. For this reason, I think the items are overpriced.The items available for the product line is quite extensive. You can get everything, covered bowls, custard dishes, mugs and cups. Different kinds of dishes. Like all European fruit bowls, they do not fit easily into a dishwasher.automatic dishwashing does not harm the product line. 3Quality Control is Lacking Unlike some of the other reviewers, I really like the heavyweight feel of the Dansk Christianshavn Blue dinner plates. They remind me of the durable and timelessly fashionable dinner plates that one finds in a roadside diner. That said, one of my plates arrived with a defect in the blue edge (see first photo). I can't tell whether it was a manufacturing defect and left the factory that way or whether it happened at the packer afterwards. So I didn't mark the review stars down for that. It wasn't worth my time to return the plate, so I just leave that plate on the bottom of the stack so it only reaches the table if it's the very last one left. It is clear, however, that Dansk has a quality control problem since some of the plates have a relatively flat inside surface while others are clearly uneven. I poured a little tea in one dinner plate (see second photo) to show how liquid pools in uneven areas of the plate. It's very noticeable if you serve something with a sauce or gravy over it. All the liquid runs to the lowest areas of the plate and pools there. If you don't drain your vegetables (e.g. corn, peas) really well, their liquid will also run and pool. I was surprised that there was so much variation between different dinner plates. There is a lack of basic quality control. I did mark the review stars down for that. 3
