Customer Reviews

Works, easy installThis is a good bang for the buck. Easy install. took me about 10mins to install. Have bought 2 and installed them both myself and I am not a professional by any means.5Perfect replacement for Liftmaster Formula1 Model 2280RGarage was having difficulty opening without a little manual help. After researching extensively online, I initially thought it needed a travel and/or force adjustment. When that didn't help, closer inspection showed that the belt had shredded (see pictures 1-2). I didn't have the original owner's manual so I couldn't find the replacement part numbers without the model number. I pulled off the light cover (see picture 3). Note that these are NOT the model numbers. FYI, the top number 41A5483-AC is the circuit board part number; IC-2666A is the battery/remote control number. I forgot what 10211499A represented. If you pull the light cover off the other side of the unit (the side closest to the garage door. Uncovered side in picture 4), that is where you'll find the unit's model number and appropriate owner's manual on Chamberlain's website. The manual said I needed belt 41A5434-11, but I found this belt, 41A5434-11A, works just fine. The replacement process took about 30 minutes without having to take down the entire unit. I watched 2 youtube videos for reference: "Replacing the Belt on a Belt-Drive Garage Door Opener" by Sears PartsDirect and "Chamberlain Garage Door Opener Belt Replacement 1280R Liftmaster 41A3589-3" by diy collaborative. Since I adjusted the force and travel before replacing the belt, I had to readjust everything back. So before you make any adjustments, check to see if the belt needs replacing first. It helps to use the remote control to open/close the garage so you can see the belt working and assess the problem. The belt did cost a few dollars more than other web retailers, but I was able to get the belt in one day with Prime Shipping which is really convenient. If you found my review helpful, please vote so that it helps others, too. I spent way too much time looking for replacement parts when I didn't have the correct model number in the first place. I hope the pictures help you. Good luck!5Easy installThis was the right product to get our 13 year old Formula 1 garage door opener workin again. Easy install and works like a dream. Took me about 20 minutes to remove the old one and install this one, but I watched videos ahead of time and didn t have to drop my unit (our garage has no ceiling sheet rock so it was easy to access the components.5I replaced the belt myself! After being told that the replacement of this belt assembly was not covered by my Home Shield warranty, I reviewed the garage door manual to identify the correct belt assembly part number that I needed to order. The item arrived promptly from Amazon, and I was able to replace the belt assembly in less than an hour. As a 63 year old woman, I had to review YouTube several times for instructions that I followed precisely, and once I turned the power back on the garage door worked like a charm. I was also happy that I didn't have to program any of the remotes again, especially the one in my vehicle.5Replacement for RAYNOR Aviator 2280RGDExact belt replacement for my Raynor Aviator 2280RGD opener. Install is very straight forward. Installed a new tensioner ($6), rather than trying to mess with compressing the old one and torquing to the right length. Took the opportunity to clean and grease the rail while I was up there changing the belt. Really kind of expensive for what it is, but I had no other issues with my 17 year old opener. If it was acting up in any other way may have put the money to a new opener.5Works with 7' door chamberlain lift master formula II professional I was worried that this does not fit my garage door so I counted the teeth/6in which was about 20. There are no installation instructions, however I watched some youtube videos and it all worked out although they were for different models of garage door openers. As a not most of those instruction call for a pre-tensioned spring that snaps into place to get the belt tension right. I did not have that and did not want to order yet another part. It works also without the pre-tensioned spring. 5Save money and do it yourselfThis was super easy to do and I didn t even take the unit down. I just used 2 ladders. Watch a YouTube video about the pins and how to remove the clip. Take a picture of the tension bolt and try to get it back to the same tension. 30 minutes start to finish so worth diy ing. Belt seemed quality made and should last 18 years or so like the last one.5Easy ReplacementWas glad to find this belt on Amazon. My old one, after 12 years, started coming apart (rubber was unattaching from the steel belt). Took about 15 mins to replace. Now my Liftmaster is as quiet as can be. Price was good and fast usual delivey. When you hear that grinding metal noise, don't wait too long or things will probably wear pretty quickly and more parts may have to be replaced.5was 3" shorter than my old belt so I made a new bolt made a new bolt with the "D" flat on one side and drilled a hole in it for the link.It worked ok, but would have been easier if it was the same length as my old one.Chamberlain whisper quiet with a 7' door. Spent about 3 extra hours on it. 3dam good belti waited 9 months to submit rating.i cleaned and set proper tension on new belt and garage door works perfect nowevery day 4-5 times a day for 9 months5A+ great part/price My belt disintegrated (Florida heat) and the door wouldn't go up or down. I changed this belt (simple) with standard tools around the house in 30 min. Very easy repair, saved hundreds 5U can do it!It s awesome! Took me 30 min to replace. Garage repair man said he would replace it for $100! Ru kidding me? Please people, u can do it!! It s so easy! Thank u Amazon!5Great replacementReplaced belt after 15 years of wear and tear when it finally gave out. This purchase was worth the money and easy to install if you know how to research your model. All you have to do is measure your garage door's height and you'll know which belt to replace.5
