Customer Reviews

Not exactly water tight! I bought these containers to use camping. I was tired of everything in the ice chest ending up waterlogged. I thought these containers would keep the eggs dry. Well, I must have misunderstood, because even though the description says "guaranteed water tight", apparently, that only applies to the lid, because there are 6 small manufactured holes in the container, itself. So, while the sturdiness of the container will be welcome in the ice chest, the eggs will still be wet. I'm sure there must be a good reason for the holes, but it seems odd to put holes in a container and then describe it as leak proof! I guess I will try to keep the container upside down, on top of the ice. 3Fantastic Egg Storage Containers I absolutely adore these egg containers! This is one of those items that makes you wonder how you lived without it for so many years. We buy our eggs in bulk and standard egg containers from the store leave a lot to be desired in terms of protecting the eggs in the refrigerator. Typically, the eggs end up demanding far too much real estate and will only "allow" very light items to be stacked on top of them. Gone are the days of broken egg worries; these containers are very thick plastic which protects their delicate egg cargo from almost everything. The containers also feature latching lids and stack neatly atop one another. Easy to clean but should avoid the dishwasher because plastic + high heat = sad egg containers. Buy them, you will be happy you did. 5... i buy in bulk at Costco so they fit better in my fridge Bought these to transfer the eggs i buy in bulk at Costco so they fit better in my fridge. There are a couple of things I'll mention from my experience of using them. (1) The plastic is pretty hard, so I have learned to not drop them into the pockets or they'll crack. and (2) The pockets are a little deeper than a regular cardboard egg carton, so it makes it slightly trickier to pull them out. Again, I've had to learn to grab them slowly to pull them out so as to not lose my grip and drop them back into the pocket and crack them. It's been a little bit of an adjustment, but I still like them because I can set things on top of the lids or stack them on top of each other and not worry about eggs being crushed. 4I have these. A couple of things you should know... I'm a new chicken owner since this past spring. Six beautiful girls! So now, I get four to six eggs per day. Oh, I use eggs in meals everyday, but I do have extras, so these containers are really great to have. I LOVE them. I bought three sets of three, so, nine total. Some people have said its hard to get eggs out of the deep egg holes. I have finger and grasping issues, yet, I don't find it hard to get eggs out. I even have Bantam Silkie chickens and their eggs are really small. But, if you have a problem, just put a cotton ball at the bottom of the hole. One thing I didn't think about when buying them, was how easy it is to open the container when holding several eggs in your hand. I go out and get eggs, come in and grab a carton from the fridge...but it takes two hands to open the carton because all four sides snap on. So, I have to put the eggs down...usually just on the counter top, and hope they don't roll away while I'm opening the container. Not really a problem, I guess I will get used to that. One last thing I noticed is that when stacked, they can easily become UNstacked, as in, sliding sideways off the one it's stacked on. I think it could be designed better to stay stacked. I only stack two high, btw.So, I do love these cartons. The things I mentioned are just things to be aware of before you buy, and not really problems. Four stars because they don't stay stacked very well. 4Great for really large eggs I have chickens and wanted a safe storage solution for the eggs I keep for myself. These are great - very sturdy and stackable. I have been using them for a while now. They snap tightly shut. They fit even the huge eggs that I had trouble fitting into grocery store cartons. Someone mentioned getting condensation - that just happened to me for the first time and I supposed it was because it is super hot and humid right now. No harm done and if it bothers you, I think a half piece of paper towel added on top of the eggs would absorb moisture. We use our eggs too fast to worry about it. 5The construction of this product is sturdy and item came as expected The construction of this product is sturdy and item came as expected. What I didn't realize was that the lack of air flow would cause my eggs to get moldy. Had to toss 3 dozen eggs away. They would be good for short camping trips, maybe. 2Finaly a carton to fit extra large eggs I have been looking for a solid way to store all the multi sized eggs my girls provide. There are the ones that are huge and the ones that are small and those used egg cartons just don't hold up to multiple use and if you have big eggs the often don't even fit. Well I can call off the search I have found the answer. They fit the biggest eggs my hens can throw at 'em and provide security for those eggs that came out a bit small. In fact I am so delighted with this product that I will look to this brand for other kitchen storage solutions. 5These Egg Containers are JUST what i have been looking for! I have been looking for Egg containers for months.. I wanted something that Locks ans accidents like knocking a whole carton of eggs off the counter happen at our house! Now i say Bring it on! These Lock & Lock Egg holders have 4 clips that snap shut and a rubber seal that will contain any and all mess that should occur in the dispenser. I dont need 3 all the time, but During holidays we surely do go through more than three dozen eggs. I might just put one of these in my art studio as a deep well for mixing water colors! (at least for during the slow egg seasons) 5Perfect for Costco Organic 24 pack The 24 pack organic eggs that Costco sells comes in a flimsy case. This 3 pack is sturdy and allows you to split the 2 dozens into two separate dozens, which makes storing easier. Things we like about the products are1) makes stacking easier and I am confident that the sturdiness of the case will not collapse2) The locking mechanism is secure and solid3) The see through case makes it easy to identify how many eggs are left4) effectively protects the eggs and if an egg does crack, it won't leak like a cardboard carton. There are small pin size holes, which I don't think is big enough to leak out, 5Stackable and sturdy. Work very nicely! I got tired of dealing with the flimsy plastic egg crate that the eggs we buy come in (30 count). I have a side by side fridge/freezer so the shelves aren't very big. These are easy to stack. They are easy to lock, but feel very secure. You can fit any size of egg in them. This isn't the first Lock & Lock product I've bought and they never fail to come through for us. Would highly recommend these. 5
