Customer Reviews

Not an oven linerThis should not be called an oven liner, since it can t be used to line an oven without melting (see pic). If, as many suggest here, this is really intended as a spill mat for placing on an oven shelf, then it should be described as such. Poor and misleading marketing at best. 1Why pay for an undersized/overpriced craft mat?Don't you love it when you find an alternate use for a household item? I do. When I'm slinging paint and adhesives around, a 15 x 18 inch "Craft Mat" is inadequate. I will never use this for its intended purpose - because it will be gracing my work area as a wonderful surface protector. Obviously it stands up to heat, so is perfect for heat embossing, hot gluing, etc. Paint and glue just wipes off.Any messy artistic persons, take note. This will save your tabletop, and may extend the length (and quality) of your intimate relationships, if you happen to share space with someone who doesn't appreciate scorched and stained surfaces. 5Kind of flimsyI know this is advertised as "heavy duty", but it's really not. Granted its cheap, but I purchased a Betty Crocker oven liner for $10, and unlike this product you can actually place it directly on the bottom of your oven. The instructions on this one state specifically to NOT do this. Apparently it can melt and ruin your oven. Instead , they suggest placing it on the lowest rack inside your oven. This liner is very thin and, well... Cheap. I bought two of them, and I'm sorry I bothered! It's pretty much useless. 2Spillmat burned and damaged oven floor.I used this Spillmat Oven Liner in my brand new stove at less than 400 degrees and one corner burned and ended up glued to the bottom of the oven. I had to use water, soap, and a metal spatula to scrape off the burned plastic. Not all the burned plastic came off and a few speckles literally fused to the oven's floor. I threw the mat in the trash as it was useless with holes left where it had burned. I now use two sheets of aluminum foil to protect the floor's oven from spills and to cover the area that was left discolored and with speckles of black plastic by the mat. The mat did not perform as expected as it should not have melted even at 450 degrees which is the maximum that my oven can get heated.CG 1Baked, Not FriedI bought this for a friend who made the mistake of not buying her oven crisper at Amazon, which includes the mat. This keeps your oven clean when you use an oven crisper to bake french fries, Tater Tots, turnip fries and any frozen snack or pizza, rather than fry them. Both sides get done at once without having to turn them over. They are really crispy, but no grease. Of course, if the oven liner isn't included, you MUST have one. This one is the right size, good weight and a good price. 4Great matNew oven, needed new liner. Wonderful. The large size doesn't allow any drips or crumbs on the oven floor. When oven cools, you can slip it out, rinse it in the sink, let it dry, and slip it in again. Food doesn't stick to the mat, so fresh all the time. Really happy with size, thickness, and non stick surface. 5Odd Size Oven LinerI was surprised at how thin the material was and wonder how long it will last. Although I only have a medium size wall oven (19" X 19"), no matter which direction I put the mat in, I could not get complete coverage. It was either too long and not wide enough or too wide and not long enough. I ended up trimming the length and put it in widthwise but there is now an area in the back which remains unprotected. I think the material should be sold in a size like 23" X 23" to ensure it will cover even the largest ovens. My only other disappointment was that the shipping and handling was more than the cost of the item. That being said, burnt-on droppings are easily removed with a wet sponge and water. The shipping time was delayed because UPS told the seller my address was undeliverable. After verifying the address was good through Amazon, the seller used an alternate shipping method and the item arrived shortly thereafter. The shipper enclosed a detailed explanation for the delay in receiving the item which only goes to show how committed they are to customer satisfaction. I would buy from this seller again. 3Send thin, but works so far.Used three times without problems. My electric oven with a flat bottom said do not use foil on the bottom. I initially bought a silicon baking sheet to put on the bottom rack, but was not very happy with that so found this online. I used it three times at 350 degrees F (once was do 90 minutes) and it still looks brand new. I don't expect to hear the oven above 425 degrees. It does look flimsy, but has held up so far. 5Energy and time saver !We own two cottage rentals and in the summer months they are both booked every single day from Memorial Day to Labor Day. We have a team of three cleaning them at checkout for check in seven hours later. Often there is no time to run the auto clean on the oven and since there is no air conditioning (they are beachfront) it is too warm to run the auto clean. Solution is to put down these silicone mats. They are simply taken out of the oven, wiped down and put back into the clean oven. It would be a long hot summer without them! 5It states that it is good up to 500 degreesDO NOT BUY THIS OVEN LINER !!! I bought a new oven a month ago..I just went to clean my NEW oven and the liner has stuck to the bottom of my oven..It states that it is good up to 500 degrees. I never cook over 400 degrees..I don't know how I will get this oven liner off the bottom of my brand new stove..I am calling Amazon !! 1
