Customer Reviews

dianeDelivery was very quick by USPS. I am pleased with the product. It seems like good quality. The price was great! The only thing was the taupe appeared very very light in the photo, like an off white. The actual color is more like a beige. But I am still pleased with them. The packaging was very neat. I didn't have the energy to spend hours ironing them, so I hung them up wrinkled and hope the wrinkles will fall out!!!! I have an old fashioned traverse rod with the plastic clips so I was glad I was able to push in the hooks in each of the gathers on the drapes, like I had on my old drapes. I searched for years for a drape very wide like this but shorter, maybe 63 0r 72 inches long, because we have a heating vent under the window, but, those type of drapes do not exist!! I will tie these back on the sides of the windows. After searching and searching, I think I am going to love these drapes. I remember about a year ago I bought some pinch pleated drapes at pennys. I took them home and they were horrible to work with and ugly. Thanks Amazon for helping me. I love your website.5Nice Color, Quality, PatternI used four of these panels (2 packages) on drapery hooks with a traverse rod across a large living room window. The crimson is a deep, rich color, and the pattern is subtle. In order to return the folds to their intended shape you should probably use an iron - they come out of the packaging creased pretty badly, and they don't necessarily weigh enough to straighten themselves out by hanging. If the curtains are going to be visible from the back (outside the window) then you may be interested in knowing that the crimson shows through the white backing, resulting in a pink backside. Personally I don't mind, since I'll be mounting lace sheers on a small cafe rod behind the curtains (to maintain privacy when the curtains are opened). The drapes flare outward to either side just below the horizontal seam of the pinch-pleats. This isn't much of a problem for me, but I thought I should mention it since the photos here seem to indicate that the panel's profile is perfectly straight. Overall they were well worth the price, and I would buy them again.4Watch the sizing...I purchased these drapes because my new apartment has traverse rods already installed and I needed the pleated drapes that utilize the drapery hooks vs a curtain you place on a round or flat curtain rod. I bought the 48x63's in Sage and Chocolate. They arrived quickly and look lovely, though I agree with another reviewer that there were quite a few hanging threads. That wasn't what caused me to return them; it was the size. The description is fuzzy when it comes to sizing. I read the size as 48x63; meaning each panel was 48 inches wide by 63 inches long. The words "panel pair" told me that they were sold in pairs at this size. However, each panel is actually 24 inches wide, which is what equals the 48 inches! The length was perfect for my windows, but no where near wide enough to cover either of my windows completely. It was a little disappointing because I thought I had found what I needed on Amazon since none of my local stores carry pleated draperies any longer (apparently buyers don't believe people still hang/utilize REAL drapes since everything available is only for a round or flat curtain rod).Other than the way the sizing is written in the description, these would be a great buy for someone just starting out and renting a home/apartment that has traverse rods already hanging, just make a note that the width provided is the total width for both panels hanging together. Another note is that you will need 3" PIN hooks to hang them properly. A different reviewer had mentioned the pin hooks being needed, but not the size of the pin hook.3Great Curtains for the PriceGot these for a bedroom. I am a light sleeper who prefers a very dark room. I chose these more for the color than anything, and they are the exact shade of "sage green" I was looking for. They were very inexpensive so I wasn't expecting much...Very surprised by the quality. They are a bit heavier than I expected them to be, they don't drape as nicely as they do in the photo, but other than that they are fine. Considering the cheap price I have no idea how well they will hold up after washing, but I will hope for the best, and in the meantime am very happy with how they darken the bedroom.4Not Good1. The taupe color is much darker than shown in the picture. When the room is half lit the color almost looks like a horrible shade of green.2. The top of the pleats are not stiff; there is no backer board in them. The top of the pleats are not erect as they are supposed to be; they droop over.3. In numerous spots the foam backing is damaged allowing light to pass through the damaged area. On a sunny day I can see streams of light shooting into the room through the damaged areas.1Wonderful Drapes!I love these drapes. I don't know why there would be fewer than 4 stars given. They are beautiful, with a nice pattern, they have a nice heavy layer for insulation and room darkening features. I bought 7 pair so far and am thinking of buying more in other colors for other areas of my home and office. One thing I do want to say is that they do come out of the package very wrinkled. I used a fabric steamer to release the wrinkles and it worked wonderfully! Come on people, these products are packed for shipping, you have to do a little work to make them into the beautiful pinch pleated draperies that they are.5Nice DrapesThese drapes look very nice hanging across my large bow window. When I took them out of the package they were very wrinkled & a lot of loose threads stuck to the fabric. I put them in the dryer on the wrinkle setting for 15 mins. and they came out looking perfect. When I was installing the pins I noticed the stitching was crooked, but no one can tell once they are hung. The fabric seems to be a good thick quality. They should help to keep the cool air in in the summer and the horrible blustery winter out that we get in this area. I am going to order another pair for my dining room in another color. These are a nice chocolate brown which I love.5No pride in workmanshipI love the color and texture; however, I was disappointed in the quality of workmanship. I remember the day, you naturally expected the pinch pleats to be 4" apart; some of these pleats are 4" and some are 7" and some are 3". VERY irregular spacing, which causes them not to hang as they even as they should (i.e. the support between 7" and 3" cause them to sag and bunch) I put extra hooks in the center of the 7" spread, but they really don't look too good even so; also, for the area I had to cover the width is really stretching to call them 96" width. I measured them 92" wide; I guess if you consider them unfinished measurement the hems would account for some of the difference. Overall they look okay after they are hung, but could have been a little more care from the seamstress.. When I was younger I would have taken them apart and re-worked the pleats to an even 4" apart but I am not so young anymore.3LENGTHS DID NOT MATCH, DEFECTS IN MATERIALLengths did not match, one side had pleats that were 4" one side had pleats 3.5 inches. does not sound like much but makes a big difference at the top especially. Also same one had small missing streaks in the backing, showed up badly as sun came through them.HOWEVER, they were replaced with no problems, took a long time but they came, still off in some places but was able to fix by using stick in clips and moving them to make even. no material defects. Did use and acceptable for the price.2Updated 04/1914 I'd originally said they wouldn't work for us, then changed my mind but am now holding firm to initial review that theses don't work for us. they never de-wrinkled, the width was too narrow as another customer had reviewed , never meeting properly in the middle, too short because the only choice for hanging was to use short drapery pins which were too thick, penetrating the front regardless that we were installing pins into the fold and not to the side of pleat, and all in all they looked stretched and and hung oddly. I'm really disappointed because these were the closest - the only- drapes we could find meeting our description: blue, pleated, thermal drapes for traverse rod (which they are not). Looks like for now our only option is to spend $100 per window for window inserts which will prevent heat loss & prevent wind infiltration into our living room. there simply aren't any draperies sold in the universe which meet our requirements of 25 years ago when we installed the $200, permanent traverse rod. If one is hoping for a classic drapery look, one more convenient and certainly more sophisticate looking than those for use on pole rods, you are out of luck. I suppose if we wanted to have drapes custom made, again, we'll have to hire a custom window treatment professional to come in and design 86"x 100" pleated drapes thick enough to provide what's called today "thermal" lining. 2Watch the sizing...I purchased these drapes because my new apartment has traverse rods already installed and I needed the pleated drapes that utilize the drapery hooks vs a curtain you place on a round or flat curtain rod.
