Not too shiny and not total blackout These curtains are perfect for my purposes; I bought them to use as a room divider. I bought 4 panels to cover an 11ft space and it looks the perfect fullness. I was worried that they would look cheap since other reviewers said they were silky. They have a sheen to them, but not too shiny or silky for my taste. They are definitely better quality than I expected, especially at the current $7 add on price. As advertised, they aren t total blackout but they do block out a significant amount of light. I hope my pics help. 5Superior darkening for a Super Thin curtain! Wow! Upon opening the box I was concerned that these wouldn't be heavy enough/thick enough to darken the room. WOW! They are a thin silky material (thin!) but they are AWESOME at room darkening. In fact, with my drapes closed and a lamp on, at night, you cannot see the lamp from outside! Keeps the room very dark during the day. I am truly shocked. It's so nice to have a smaller, thinner, drape in my living room but still get the superior blockage of light. No more bulky, lined, heavy curtains/drapes. I would definitely recommend these and will purchase again, if I need them. 5Very beautiful rich color but not room darkening at all. The reason I give these three instead of 5 Stars is because I have owned several pairs of room darkening curtains and these are not room darkening curtains. These are almost sheer! I did not return them because they are very beautiful and they do perfectly match my decor. I love the rich color! Since they are not room darkening curtains I had to hang something over the windows behind the curtains. I have never had to do this before with all of the other room darkening curtains that I have owned. As far as beauty and color I give these 5 stars but when it comes to room darkening I only give them 1 star! So if you want beautiful curtains these are great but if room darkening is important to you then I would not recommend these. 3Better Used as Sheer Drapes "Sun Zero" is definitely a misnomer and short of leaving your windows open I can hardly think of a less efficient method to insulate your house. Once you iron the drapes, they'll make a nice sheer layer. They provide a bit of privacy, but they do not block much light or provide much thermal insulation. I took the picture attached on a partly cloudy day before we ironed the drapes -- shown are a mixed set of teal and grey, the right two are shaded by a tree, the sun is on the other side of the house. The drapes do not come with any ties. The polyester material appears shiny and .... very polyester. 2Mine came one panel not two Love these curtains u can see the light through the curtain I thought it came with two panels but it comes with one panel for me afraid to buy at first because the price was so low thought it would be a cheap fabric but I m wrong love the color looks nice at night and during day I m buying more for other window 4Ok for your first apartment, or guest room. These are OK blinds. I ordered and installed this panels on a 60x72" window. I installed two 54x84" panels to cover the window. When the package came, on the cover it states that you should measure "three times the width of your window for proper fullness." That would have been nice to know. With that being said, consider the cost of purchasing three times as many panels when considering these panels. In the living room and other rooms in the house I have eclipse and they are a much better quality. These have about the same effect as hanging a standard target quality bedsheets to the wall.It looks better than having nothing at all, but has hardly any effect on the incoming light.*the photo attached is taken in the late evening on an overcast day with the blinds underneath closed. The sun would be on the other side of the house so there is no direct light at all * 3Color is perfect These aren t the best quality curtains, they re not blackout, aren t energy efficient, and certainly don t cancel noise. They are really thin. However, my 5 stars is based on them being exactly the color I needed and wanted! At first I was upset because right out the pack they look more lavender. After hanging them, they do look blush. I m very satisfied. 5Thin and short... look elsewhere... Read every other one-star review here and they represent my experience. I might have even been able to tolerate them not blocking light but what really ruined it for me is that they were short. I purchased 14 from another vendor that were excellent in terms of sun blocking and length. The two that I purchased from this window were short, which is significant when the window and curtain length are about the same and you need to block light. I ended up putting up black kraft paper under the window and then putting the curtains on top of the paper so that we could block enough light for a church Easter play. 1Great value! We purchased 2 panels of the Brick color for our sliding glass door in the dining room. During the day we open them so that the panels flank either side of the door and it looks really nice. At night we close them, and the panels meet in the center while allowing for some wave on both sides (not totally flat/stretched). The Brick color is definitely red, just on the orange side of the spectrum. I would have liked the back side of the curtains to be lined in white, but our sliding glass door faces the woods so no one would ever see the red lining anyway. My only complaint is how hard it is to get the wrinkles out. They naturally come out of the package wrinkled, but I tried throwing them in the dryer with some ice cubes and a wet towel, and even after 45 minutes they were still pretty wrinkled. I haven't tried ironing them, I just hung them and will let gravity do the rest! 3This One Weird Trick I hate spending a ton of cash on curtains. These are about as inexpensive as it gets for reasonable quality. For people who haven't realized it, there is one tricky maneuver I'd suggest if this hasn't proven to be as room-darkening as you'd hoped: you can layer these. Before placing them on the rod, just put one curtain right on top of another, then thread both curtains at once onto the curtain rod (pole goes right through two grommets at the same time.) The curtains will stay together when hung. You'd have to get pretty close and stare pretty hard to figure out what's going on. It's not a perfect solution, but it's pretty impressive. If that's still not dark enough, I'd suggest a tension rod with an opaque sheer underneath (or press and hang a flat, not fitted, bedsheet. The material quality is better than most sheers you'll find, and if you hang it carefully, nobody is likely to notice that it isn't actually a conventional sheer panel.) If you have no tension rod, a small bungee cord may work, stretched carefully between ends of the main curtain rod. 5
