Customer Reviews

Works well, when new. Sunlight degrades plastic quickly!Works great since it has four teeth that engage tightly unlike other brands. Seals tight with no leaks, a must have for hard plumbing your RV!Only problem is that the plastic material isn t protected against RV damage and will degrade if left in direct sunlight. After two years, the teeth began to crack and two of them pulled off, creating a leak and forcing me to replace. It s cheap enough that I bought another. 34 Hooks are better than 2!This is a lot better than the cheaper ones with only 2 bayonet hooks. Fits without leaking and the Hooks are on a mount that rotates - making it easier to fasten to a rigid pipe. I did this for a friend who is living in her fifth-wheel and feel good about the quality install. 5Great idea but doesn't seal on the twist lock side very good at alltrying to attach RV drain to rigid pvc pipe while stationary at home, great idea, just works poorly. You're better off using 3 inch rubber connector and connect your pipe with that instead. the product is made well, just doesn't work well 2Allowed me to plumb my camper to our septic tank. Please take note belowThis adapter is made of ABS , and should not be glued together to PVC pipe via regular PVC glue. What I did was get a PVC 3" male to female adapter at home depot and screwed it on tight without any glue. From there on I glued all the PVC pipes together. There is special type of glue to glue ABS and PVC together, but it you screw the PVC M/F adapter to this adapter it'll work fine (and save you money) 5Fingers are very weakThis products seems like a good idea but it is really poorly designed where it attaches to the 4 pegs on your outlet bung. The fingers are to far out (ID too big) and bend easily so with the least amount of torque will cause it to pop off or leak. This is attaching to a Valtera valve and their valve mounts solid but thing is not. This thing caused me considerable amount of grief when trying to hard plum a 3" PVC line to the trailer and this thing was constantly shifting and popping off the mount. Use the Valterra valve then get a glue on outlet flange and don't use this thing. I ended up making this thing work temporarily by putting a hose clamp around the fingers to keep them on the pegs. I am going to get a glue on outlet flange and fix it right. This thing is way too weak to hold up anything more than a standard RV flex hose and that is not what it is intended to do. 1Absolute must have for rigid sewer lineI purchased one of these this summer for my RV as I have a seasonal lot and decided to hook up my sewer line to 3" ABS pipe. I have seen many jury rigged connections and they all "stink". People use duct tape, clamps, glue and all sorts of other methods to marry ABS pipe to their RV's bayonet hookup. These setups stink and leak every time does a dump. This adaptor makes a tight liquid and stink-proof seal. These adaptors can not be found locally, so I ordered three more of them and will sell them to my neighbours so that I am not overcome by foul odours when they dump their sewage tanks. If you want to go to a solid sewer pipe then you definitely need this adaptor. 5Works with modificationsThis device works but not in its shipped form. The gasket is too short so when you twist to tighten it doesnt seal against the rigid pipe of the RV, you can feel that it doesnt seal correctly as there is little to no pressure when twisting. I had leaking from the start and no amount of reseating or jiggling the fitting would fix it.I went to a fleet supply store and got a gasket kit made for RV sewer fittings, about $4 for the kit. Replaced the adapter gasket with the new taller gasket and it sealed up nice and tight, it was noticeably harder to twist and tighten. I ran the grey water through it and no leaks, havent had a leak since. If you get this I would advise getting the gasket kit too for peace of mind, but the manufacturer of the fitting should provide a better gasket from the factory. 3Works great to change your RV sewer outlet to connect to ...Works great to change your RV sewer outlet to connect to a septic. An ABS 3" pipe thread to slip part from home depot fits to this Valterra part and a PVC 3" to 4" reducer from home depot allows you to connect to 4" pvc pipe which connects to the septic.Note that this ABS part is not available in PVC type parts. That's why you have to use both types. 5Nice try but NO!I needed this item to transition from my RV bayonnett sewer fitting to 3" PVC. I hooked it all up and the joint at the bayonet fitting leaked. Like a seive. There is a rubber gasket built into it but it is not robust enough. The weight of the 3" PVC caused the leak. I sawed the posts off the bayonet fitting and used a rubber connector to connect to the PVC. 2Pick something elseThis item leaked from the moment I connected it to the trailer...and not just a little. I wish I'd read the reviews more carefully before ordering. I even tried a small bead of plumbers putty with no success. Pick something else. (And for $10, it wasn't worth the trouble to send back). 1
