I got these baking cups for cupcakes I was making for my daughter's birthday party. They look great and all was going well and I was happy with them until the first batch of cupcakes came out. Initially the colour was just as it is shown in the picture, however once the cupcakes were cooked, the paper faded significantly to a very light lilac colour. For the next batch I used two cups per cupcake and that was marginally better.All in all I was disappointed.
3~ THEY BLEED!!
Wilton Assorted Jewel Standard Cups, 75 Count, I don't like these Baking Cups, not only they stick to the Muffin but after they are Baked, the colors change from very Bright to very Dull and that's not even the worst part, the Color Ink Bleeds into the Muffins and even my Baking Pan, specially the purple ones. I washed the Pan twice by hand and I can't make the stains to go away and I think is because of the strong color dyes. We were concerned since they are Made in China so decided not to eat them and threw them out. Check my Posted Pictures under "Wilton Assorted Jewel Mini-Cups, 100 Count" ...Thank You D.D.
1Great product...more of tiffany blue, not light blue
These were great Wilton brand cupcake liners. Wilton printed cupcake liners never "bleed" color onto your cupcake pan or the cupcake like some cheaper brands so definitely worth a little bit extra. The only reason for the 4 stars is that they were listed as "light blue" and instead they are more of a Tiffany blue. They still worked for what I needed, but the color should be changed on the listing.
4cute, but poor quality
I bake a lot and am an experienced/seasoned baker. I bought these paper baking cups because I liked the design (also purchased the blue ones). However, when I used them for pumpkin and banana chocolate chip muffins, respectively, the paper stuck to the muffins both times. Both times, half of the muffin was left in the cups and I had to peel the remaining paper off of the muffins. Aggravation level=high.Don't waste your money. Use cooking spray in your muffin tins. I'm very disappointed.
1I was very disappointed in these cupcake liners
I was very disappointed in these cupcake liners. While they appear the same as pictured when you receive them, once you bake cupcakes in them, they absorb so much that they are pastel pink and the cupcakes stuck to them bad leaving the birthday party recipients with half the cupcake still in the liner. Very disappointing for 11 year old girls. On top of that, they have permanently stained the inside of my relatively new (unscratched) Wilton non-stick muffin pan with pink markings. It didn't come off with repeated washing, scrubbing and dishwasher. Overall, a big bummer!
1Terrible quality.
If I had known that the purple wouldn't show after you baked the cupcakes, I wouldn't have even bought this. I purchased these cupcake liners to use for my daughter's birthday party, which was a purple-themed party. I loved the color and cuteness, but once I took the cupcakes out of the oven, the color was gone! I think it was because of the oil or heat or cupcake batter that drowned out the color, it's not like it seemed into the cupcake or anything, but it did nothing to help with the decor or theme. A pointless/useless buy, I could've just bought those regular silver cupcake liners.
1Most of these colors are so cute, but the green completely diappears!
I ordered all of the colors here, and I love the pink, blue, and purple (which are dark enough to be seen after baking), but the green liners aren't dark enough to show, apparently. After baking a light brown muffin in them, I could no longer see the polka dots or the green color. If I didn't look carefully, it honestly just looked like a slightly green tinted white liner. Disappointing given that the whole purpose of spending more money on the colorful liners is for them to be pretty!Also, the liners do stick badly to muffins, more so than other, cheaper liners I've used. If you don't remove them carefully, a good portion of each muffin's bottom comes off, and that's without over-baking!
2You know...you CAN use these baking cups in other ways!
I saw all of the negative reviews from customers who actually baked in these cups, so I won't do that. I had another idea: I will use them to hold mini eclairs for my annual Super Bowl party. I also bought the Wilton 1512-5406 Football Treat Stand which is very sturdy and easy to assemble! These baking cups and the treat stand compliment each other perfectly! I just know they will be a hit!!!!
5Perfect set of cupcake liners
This is my second time purchasing these standard size cupcake baking cups, however, I can't remember if I bought the first set on Amazon or not. It took me a few years to use all of the ones that I previously bought.These really are great to have on hand for birthday parties due to it being a package of 3 primary colors. That is what I used them for. I think they lasted for about 3 birthday parties? I bought another package of them because I have no doubt that I will use these again.I think these come at a great price too for especially how long they will last me.
5Nice pattern, but after baking in them color isn't so vibrant
I baked chocolate cupcakes in these and the batter made the paper pattern almost unoticeable (like the oils in the cake seeped into the paper). I did notice that the ones I accidentally used 2 papers on came out perfect, you could still tell it was a gingham print, while the ones with just one paper, you couldn't tell it was gingham, just kind of reddish nondescript design. A bit disappointing considering the price and the brand.
