Customer Reviews

Best fish spatula I ve ever used.Had this on my wish list for quite a while. Got it when I saw it at $30. It really performs so much better then any other fish spatula I have used. It also cost more. I m not sure I d be willing to pay over $40 for it. But it really is great. Can t imagine why I would leave a fish spatula lying in my skillet, so I can t see the plastic handle being an issue for me.5Thin flexible blade yet still sturdy in construction. The blade on this is pretty thin.....enough so that I've actually cut my finger on it a few times when I was washing it with a sponge. I suppose I should change the way I hold it when I wash it!I've used this to flip burgers and lift salmon from baking pans, and pretty much everything in between. Works very well. After about three months, it still looks like new. It is extremely well built. I highly recommend it. I'm giving it five stars for its construction and durability. 5Bes Spatula I've Ever UsedThe only drawback is it is so nice, don't want to put it in the dishwasher. It is well made and works well for any of the foods I need to turn. The handle is very nice and decided to hand wash to keep it very nice for a long time.5An amazing spatulaPerfectly shaped and a very right size. The description says that it is 7 1/2 inches long, but 7 1/2 inches means a steel part - without handle. With the handle it is about 11 inches, which is a perfect size. I also have an Oxo spatula (fish turner), which is 14" inches long - way too long, so I'll give it up. A beautiful feature - the front rib, which goes under the fish (food) is slightly sharpened - it will go easier, but it will not cut your fingers.DO NOT LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE, WHO COMPLAINT THAT THE ITEM IS NOT FORGED - spatula should not be forged. It is perfect the way it is, not forged. If anybody wants forged - go to Williams-Sonoma and buy forged for over $40, dull, made from a plain steel. It will be forged, but rusty.5Excellent spatula! After much research (I never thought I would have to research a spatula until I married my husband, who is also our household cook), I discovered this spatula and got it for my husband for Christmas. He is thrilled with it and has told me no less than 5 times already how much he loves it. It is easy to use and easy to clean and great quality...definitely worth the money!!5Handle MeltingI REALLY debated for quite a time re:getting this; I had read lots of reviews on this spatula and also other similar spatulas. This has a very nice front edge - thin for getting under things and flexible. Why 4 stars - today when using it I rested the handle on the edge of my pan (heat was med. low) and the handle now has marks where the handle started to melt. NOT AT ALL what I expected from Wusthof (and for what I paid!!)4The best slotted spatula out of the box, albeit expensive. The best one, but expensive. If it was more affordable, I'd give it 5 stars. You can buy a good quality cheaper slotted spatula and sharpen the leading edge a little and get similar performance. But if you're willing to spend the money, this one is nice.4OverpricedIt's the one which America's Test Kitchen considers to be the best. I wish that Wusthof embellished it a bit more so it looked like the best, though, because it's a $50 fish spatula with a plastic handle and a cheap-looking logo sticker.4Every good thing people have posted about this spatula IS TRUEEvery good thing people have posted about this spatula IS TRUE! Thin, pliable but solid, comfort in your hand. Used it on burgers, fish, cookies, fried eggs... you name it. I've had the Wusthof Classic knives for 15 years, so this was a natural choice and after throwing out multiple crappy spatulas, I know I have a keeper! Def worth the investment.5Wusthof spatula handle melts easily. It seems to be made of chocolate or something. How could this obvious flaw be allowed?Incredibly, the handle melts if it touches the pot! I just couldn't believe it. What was the matter, I mean, surely the Bakelite patents have expired by now?2Great tool for hardest jobsGreat tool here. I used it for a year or two before writing a review. The metal is super thin, which is a great asset when attempting to get under the char to lift seared foods (e.g., meat/fish with skin on, pancakes, etc.). I mostly use this spatula for difficult and delicate items. Really gets the job done. Initially, I only hand washed it. But within the last four to five months, it goes in the dishwasher. Would buy again, but don't see any wear, so I expect to have it forever, like most of my stuff. I thank America's Test Kitchen for another stunner!5
